We are a team of practitioners informed by theory. Our staff have on average 8 years of professional work experience as experiential educators in one or more of the following fields: outdoor and adventure education, service-learning and youth-community work.
Our Philosophy
We believe in holistic development. We help students understand their personal behaviours, values and beliefs after going through carefully planned experiences that bring about cognitive dissonance and emotional engagement. Respect, Care and Commitment are core values that ground all our programmes.
Our approach is asset-based. We strive to achieve holistic development by leveraging on the existing strengths of students, programmes and teachers. We believe that there can be significant enhancement of learning outcomes through programme synergies and strategic adjustments.
We believe in slow pedagogy. We offer no miracle cure and no quick fixes to student development. Character and values are inherently resilient and cannot be easily changed. We prefer to run programmes with follow-up, in small groups and within authentic settings.
