Mr Goh Ann Tat

Ann Tat graduated from NUS with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1996 and recently obtained his post graduate diploma in social work (2007) from the same university to further his interest in human and social development issues. As part of his practicum for his post graduate studies, he was involved in working with families in financial difficulties as well as conducting individual counseling sessions as well as group work for the youths at risk.

Ann Tat’s work experience includes:

  • 4 years as an engineer with Keppel Corporation;
  • More than 3 years with the Singapore International Foundation as a trainer and manager in the Youth Expedition Project; and
  • 2 years in the National Council of Social Service looking at development and capacity building for the volunteer sector, including leadership programmes. He was also involved in planning and developing services for children with disabilities in Singapore.

Ann Tat believes in giving back to the community and is currently volunteering his time with YMCA Singapore as a trainer/facilitator. As a trainer and facilitator, Ann Tat is dynamic, spontaneous and participant-centred. He has previously volunteered with various camps affiliated for children with special needs as well as being involved in various overseas service expeditions to Zimbabwe and Myanmar with Raleigh International/Society.  He was involved as a pro-tem executive member in the setting up of the Singapore chapter of the Raleigh Society.
