Ms Vivian Wong
Vivian has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Linguistics from NUS and a graduate diploma in education (PE) from the National Institute of Education
Vivian’s work experience includes 3½ years as a PE teacher with the Ministry of Education and 6 years with Outward Bound Singapore, first as Instructor and later as Programmes Manager.
Her experiences in the field of Adventure Education include
- Overseeing Outward Bound training programmes for various schools, scholarship agencies, tertiary institutions, government organisations and overseas partners
- Facilitating learning outcomes for more than 1000 participants, including students, cadet pilots of the Singapore Flying College, trainee teachers from NIE; undergraduates from INSEAD; and working adults from SingTel, STB, OSIM and AXA
- • Attending a 26-Day Classic Challenge Course at Outward Bound South Africa (2006) as the Liaison Officer, ensuring a safe and quality course for adult participants from Singapore.
Having conducted, developed and reviewed adventure programmes for people of various profiles, Vivian is convinced of the extensive opportunities experiential education offers for personal growth and development. Currently, Vivian is enhancing her repertoire of skills through Service Learning and Diversity Education programmes.

A love for nature brings Vivian to places where there is beautiful landscape and rich flora and fauna. She has trekked on several trails and mountains, including those in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Vivian also jogs, rock-climbs and paints for leisure.
